While adopting this diet and lifestyle program I have reversed my heart disease, high cholesterol, hypertension, and lost 54 lbs. You can follow my story at https://www.drmcdougall.com/james-brown/

Not at this time, while I wasn't vaccinated against smallpox as a child, I did get it prior to deploying to OIF/OEF. I should still have "some" immunity against it. I am also not in any high-risk group for it. I am considering getting a smallpox booster though since it has been about 19 years since my initial jab.

I had smallpox vaccine as a child and I hear that it is still protective. But if it wasn't I don't think I would get the vaccine. as far as i know I m not in the demographics that is at risk.

I got vaccinated for the second time when I was 23. The first time I was a baby and the second time I had a big reaction. One big pox at the test sight and huge swelling under my arm in the lymph node. I think i am protected. Sure would hate to have those nasty pox all over my body. It was very painful. Rebia aka americaninca. New name as I had to re register to get back in when something changed.

I don't think the vaccines are generally available yet in our area for people in my demographic. If that changes, I'll consider it.

The vaccine isn't broadly available here nor is it being recommended for the general public. When/if the time comes that is available and recommended, I will likely get it.

We can all get it if we happen to touch someone who is infected or a surface of something they have touched. So far, no one I know has told me they are infected. Hope it doesn't happen, but if it does, it makes sense to be protected.

My husband and I have been pretty careful anyway because of Covid, but M. pox spreads by touch not air, unlike Covid. So, the precautions need to be different--or in addition to what we are already doing. :-(
