Hello all - I am a voice from the past! I used to be active from a LONG time ago (the previous iteration of this discussion board!) until a few years ago.
Question: I am having trouble getting my cholesterol down so now I am going to clean up the sugar situation to see if that helps.
Eliminate even the small amounts of sugar I was eating, eliminate the date syrup and the maple syrup. Dr. McDougall says that for people that are having trouble getting that cholesterol down we should eliminate simple sugars and limit fruit.
Does anyone know what a simple sugar is? Does that include bread for example? White flour or all flour?
