Body Fat Scales?

Postby VeganMan » Wed Nov 29, 2006 2:42 pm

Does anyone know if Body Fat/Water Scales are accurate? Any suggestions on types or models?

How about the Tanita "See your body better" Body Fat, Body Water, and weight scale? (retail $50)

I have the Tanita scale and like it. But I'm curious as to why you need accruacy? Do you mean that from weighing to weigning you'd like it to be consistent? Mine seems to be reliable in that regard.

I use the BF measurement to track the trends, but I don't care if it is accurate.

What I understand is that the most accurate measurement is the complete imersion method, where someone dunks you in water. The second most accurate is supposed to be the impendance method and the cailper method the least reliable.
