If I find after a week or so on MWL that I'm not losing weight, I'll consider giving up my green smoothies, but I'm hoping I can post in the forum for support either way.
I am not following your paragraph above. If you follow MWL but add a smoothie, you lose. If you go off of MWL and eat nuts, seeds, and processed grains, or vegan junk food, you don't lose. Is that even when you are having a smoothie?
No one is telling you to eat oatmeal for breakfast. You could have dinner for breakfast! And if you don't have any appetite, then don't eat breakfast at all!
You don't have to go off the program just because you want to have smoothies, but I suggest you just do it and not ask for support in the forum. It is contradictory to acknowledge that we don't advocate smoothies and then ask for the forum to support it! I don't ask for support for my glass of wine--I just have it.
Another suggestion, if you don't like eating greens, is to eat other vegetables, both raw and cooked. I'm not sure I understand the point of a smoothie, if it is to force oneself to consume something that one otherwise wouldn't eat. If that's the case, I'd find something else to eat.
