Has anyone here purchased an Ab Lounger ? and if so does it work ?
It looks interesting, but I am not sure how good it is. Does anyone have any kind of Ab exerciser that they feel really works ??? :-D

Skeptical

I'm skeptical of most "craze" exercise equipment.
There are so many isometric and compound exercises you can do with your body weight (w/o equipment) or supplemented w/ some weight/resistance.
Power yoga has been very successful for me, as well as traditional crunches, crunch variations, and planks.
But if getting some equipment will make you more motivated, you should probably get it.
As for the Abs Lounger, I have no opinion.

Try googling ab lounge customer reviews. You'll get a variety of sites, such as Amazon and epinions where people post their reviews. Take them with a grain of salt, of course, but it may help you make a decision if no one here has used one.

Don't ask my where, but I saw a review once where they actually measured abdominal muscle activity by electrodes while doing various traditional abdominal activities and abdominal exercise aids. The best exercise was the bicycle (where you lie on the floor and crunch your right elbow to left knee, then left elbow to right knee while keeping your back stuck to the floor and stationary). It was significantly better than anything. Barring that, a good pilates video will work your core, be cheaper and easier to store than a device. Just my $0.02.

Thanx to all of you for the info, I think I will stick with what I am doing. I have used my large exercise ball to do abs, good grief that really is a good workout

because there is a bar that caught you right in the lower back, so when I used it I kept getting banged in the lower back. I don't know if it would have worked better if I wasn't 5'2", but my back ached after using it a couple of weeks. During that time I didn't notice any improvement in my abs, but maybe it takes longer than a couple of weeks.
