Any Runners Here?

Postby Ruff » Sun Oct 31, 2021 10:49 am

I have just done the Mt Somers Race.....it made the Mt Oxford reported below look easy. :D

I am a physically challenged athlete, as I have drop foot and run with poles to assist. But I love the hills and I love to run. I cant manage more than a half marathon in the mountains (about 6 and a half hours on my feet) without blowing out my bad foot. For the Mt Somers race my daughter came with me as a support runner.

Anyway, I am laid up for recovery this week, resting my bad foot and planning lots of nice food to eat to recover. Porridge with frozen fruit this morning, and also I have a nice pineapple all ripe and ready to eat as well. So while I am sitting around with my feet up, I was wondering how many other runners we have here and what are your stories?
