Annual Blood Test Sale

As an FYI...

For those who like to monitor their numbers on their own...

Life Extension is holding its annual sale on blood tests. Many are up to 50% off. You can order them now, while on sale, and then you have 6 months to use them. If you like to do your own testing, i don't think you can beat these sale prices.

For example...

A basic Chemistry Panel (CMP) & Complete Blood Count (CBC) which includes a lipid profile and fasting blood glucose is now only $26.

A Basic Health Aging Panel which includes the CMP, CBC, Lipid Panel, TSH, Vitamin B12, Folate, Vitamin D, C-reactive protein (high sensitivity), Hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C), Fasting glucose, Fasting Insulin, & Ferritin for $111.75

[NOTE - I have no affiliation or relationship with them and make no money from their sales. I am just a happy customer :) ]

Any idea if they offer services in Canada? I can't seem to find the answer to the question offhand. They only Canadian equivalent I can find (https://bloodtestscanada.com/) is quite expensive in comparison.

How does this work?
Do you draw your own blood?

It is a very simple process. They outline it here.

I don’t know.

I did a quick search and saw there are a few labs offering similar services but I didnt look into the details or the pricing.

In the the link that Jeff provided in his reply to me, it said:
"We only offer laboratory tests to people residing in the continental US and in Anchorage, AK. "

The annual blood test sale has been going on in May and ends today.

Many tests are 50% off and can be ordered today and do not expire for 6 months.

For more info, you can read my comments above in this thread

Thanks for the reminder! Just to let you know, the expiration seems to go beyond 6 months. Last year I waited 10 months and it was still valid. The representative said so long as I was still ‘in the system’ it would be honored. I’m sure there must be some time limit though, but I didn’t asked. I just checked.... an additional 6 months can be requested.

Yes. They renew them whenever needed! :)

Thanks

Thanks

The main reason people use this service is for their own self-monitoring of labs and/or additional lab tests above and beyond what that the doctor may order and/or what may be covered by insurance. Many of the tests available during the annual sale cost much less than what may be available through their doctor with or without insurance. We even used this service to do the lab testing during our Meals For Health programs.

There are some places in Canada that will do this, but they are rare, limited in location and fairly expensive.

It’s that time of the year again

It is hard to beat their prices on a direct apples to apples comparison (and I have been checking for years).

For instance, their Apo-B test is regularly $28 and on sale for $21. That is $48 less than DirectLabs.
(and no, I am not affiliated with them in anyway nor do I make any $$$ from them).

The best deal is their basic CMP/CBC/Lipid for $26
https://www.lifeextension.com/lab-testi ... blood-test

Walgreens, CVS, Target clinics used to offer a finger prick cholesterol test for more than that.

If you want a little more, their Basic Healthy Aging Panel for $111 is hard to beat.
