clove smell on nonorganic potatoes?

Hi Jeff,

Recently I've noticed a medium to strong smell of cloves on the non organic potatoes that I buy. Any idea what it is?

Have you noticed anything like this? I tried googling it and didn't come up with much.

Never noticed it.

Perhaps its picking the smell up based on how it is being stored, or where, or near where you are getting them
