Wax on fruits and vegetables

I was wondering about wax coatings on on fruits like apples, pears, zuchnini, red bell peppers, etc. The wax used on fruit is made up of different kinds of oils.
I have tried several methods of removing wax from fruit but it does not remove all the wax. Should this be a concern?
