Postby nfsus » Wed Apr 19, 2023 6:43 pm

after 3 years or so on the diet my a1c changed from 10.1 when i started to 5.9 after 3 months to 7.1 now.

at 5.9 my weight had gotten down to 187lbs and im back up to 205lbs. ive not changed my diet from what it has been. nothing outside the ordinary has changed. none of my other markers have changed all that much.

Ty but I’m familiar with all that. My waking sugar was 185. In a day I have a cup of coffee with sugar, oatmeal, rice black beans corn and onions, supper might be spaghetti or a soup. I limit fat to 10% of the daily diet. I’m fairly consist about what I eat and deviate very little.

If I am reading your post correctly, it seems you have gained ~20 labs, which alone could impact blood sugar and hence, a1c levels.

I just updated a thread showing the influence of excess weight in the cause and remission of T2 Diabetes. Here it is...

It might also be of value to have someone go through the details of your regular diet/lifestyle to make sure they are the best choices for you.
