Sad but I guess not surprising.....

Postby Jessac10 » Fri Apr 11, 2014 7:52 am

A friend forwarded me an email she received from Similac. She found it amusing yet sad, and so do I. It is entitled "Top 5 Finger Foods for Your Eleven Month Old." The foods it lists are cheese, fish, fruit, whole grains, and meat. Three out of the five foods they recommend as "first foods" for babies are so unhealthy for them. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a formula company doesn't have a baby's health as its top priority. It just saddens me that so many moms will read things like this and start their poor babies on SAD diets right from the beginning. :(
