Postby Jan Tz » Sun Oct 22, 2006 8:18 am

From Chef Deb on vegsource.

8 oz. box "o-shaped" pasta, cooked and drained

Sauce:
1 can tomato soup
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
pinch garlic powder
pinch oregano
pinch basil

Mix the sauce together, then mix into the pasta. Done!

Sounds good and easy enough....I never paid attention to seeing any o-shaped pasta....will have to check it out. Thanks.

Spagetti O's to the rescue

Postby Steve » Sun Oct 22, 2006 9:28 am

This recipe might be a healthy alternative to the old Chef Boy R Dee. I might try heating the sauce and adding a little bit of burgundy wine for flavor.

If you have trouble finding the O-shaped pasta, try using alphabets. Same size, different shape. The recipe isn't as good with larger pastas, like macaroni. "Spaghetti Elbows" just doesn't work!

Tomato soup in "O's"

Postby Grateful » Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:45 am

Hi, Jan. Do you make your own tomato soup? If so, would you mind sharing the recipe? If not, what brand do you use? Many thanks.

Tomato Soup: no, I just buy it, cheap store brand. Also, I don't salt this recipe, because of the salt in the soup.
