I' m writing here every day until after New years. I believe this will keep me on track. My birthday is New Year's. I want to see how far I can go by then. I feel I have about 40 lbs. Today was a very good day. I went into town. stopped at the new HyVee groceries they were giving out samples everywhere, I politely refused all. While going in I passed a Paneras, I wanted a cup of tea,but was afraid that would lead to trouble,so kept driving.

Glad you had a good day -- good for you resisting temptations while you shopped! The other day in walmart, they had an electric skillet set up by the front door and were handing out samples of steak in some kind of marinade -- stunk up the whole store.

Today has been a good day. Only temptation was DH eating some banana bread. Really didn't want any which is a step in the right direction. I hope to exercise soon, right now I have a sore hip. Will hold off until it is better.

Pretty good day. One minor slip. For lunch we had stirfry, but also had 3 small steamed dimsuns. Made a banana Crunch for skinny DH. Tomorrow I have a get together at a not so McDougall friendly Mexican restaurant. Will do my best.

Well today could have been better. At Mex restaurant had a bean burrito, rice and salad, salsa for dressing. I'm sure there was probably some oil. Then tonight after having a bowl of soup, still hungry had a bean sandwich. Bread a NO NO. I have been feeling good the last few days. Hope I didn't jinx it.

Blondie, aren't you near Mansfield ?. I am in Bolivar about 27 miles N. of Springfield. Today, went to hospital for talk on shingles. The talk was fine, but they served a light lunch. Salad with oil dressing, chicken ,veggie beef soup, breadsticks with oil slathered on top, and cookies. I thought about taking a salad in my purse. Decided not to, next time I will. My aunt who was with me eating it all said " You need some oil" when I mention it had oil. Tomorrow all meals at home.
