bean broth stew

Postby Dougalling » Wed Sep 28, 2016 9:44 am

Hello

I often use tomato paste with water as a base for a soup or stew. Today when I reached into my pantry, there was no tomato paste. There was a can of no-fat-added refried beans. Sooo, I put that in a pot with a can of water, mashed it up, and it became a nice bean broth for the base of my stew today.

Today's Stew

bean broth
green salsa
frozen kale
frozen veg - soup mix
frozen peas
frozen corn
frozen veg - italian mix
the last bits in the jar of roasted red peppers (in water)
chili powder

Mmmm so good !
