What I Eat For Breakfast

Daily breakfast for myself and kids ages 5, 7 and 9. What the kids like to eat is a big consideration.
Time is also big consideration, breakfast is the fastest meal of the day.
I don't eat the same thing every day.

Usually one of the following lately.
- Rolled oats cooked with blended apple, served with fresh fruit or frozen berries.
- Toast with apple sauce.
- Sweet rice: cold brown rice with orange juice and fruit.
- Oat banana pancakes with apple sauce or maple syrup.

Depends on time, availability of ingredients (oranges, bananas) and prepared food (brown rice, brown bread).
Make these so many times a hot breakfast is no more than 10m for porridge or 15m for pancakes.
Toast is hands down the fastest if fresh bread is available.

Calorie density for growing kids, not weight loss.

i read about a heated blueberry "soup" popular in Scandinavia. Heat over low heat with minimal water - add a dash of cinnamon. Is yummy.

I sometimes have straight or spoon over oatmeal/ grain porridge.

Thanks for posting your meal ideas.
