Hi, Does anyone have any insights as to why symptoms of severe exhaustion might only show up as low ferritin? It says Serum Ferritin 29ug/L (ref range 30.00 - 400.oo ug/L)
Iron is fine: Serum iron level 14 umol/L (5.8 - 34.5)
Serum transferrin 2.74 g/L (2 - 3.6)
Se unsat iron binding capacity 69 umol/L (50-90)
%Saturation of iron 20%
Haemoglobin 138g/L (140-180) Mild anaemia? new-awaiting haemantics.
Diabetes/thyroid/ other general bloods seem normal.
thanks.
Taking iron supplements.

Just bumping up the post in case anyone has any insights to this. Struggling with severe exhaustion. Been told it might be a bleeding tumour but still looking for a cause. Don't know if that level of feritin is low or not or even why iron is unaffected in the blood test results.
