Cranberry Juice

Postby Cindy » Tue Dec 26, 2006 11:48 am

A few days ago someone asked why people who are taking Warfarin (also known under the brand names of Coumadin®, Jantoven®, Marevan®, and Waran®) should avoid drinking Cranberry juice. The reason is because this medicine thins your blood and so does cranberry juice and vitamin K. Now for people who are not on blood thiners cranberries are a source of polyphenol antioxidants, chemicals which are known to provide certain health benefits to the cardiovascular system and immune system. If you are serious about your health and want to get off of as many medicines as you can I suggest e-mailing Dr. McDougall and also attending his 10 day Live in Program.
