Can the WFPB or Vegan diet change response to medication?

Postby Barbpassman » Sun May 23, 2021 12:55 pm

Although I work in a very major medical center, there is no WFPB support there. Hence I am asking my question her.
I was recently advised and prescribed a medication which I had tried five years ago and could not tolerate that medication.
So i started again last week with trepidation . Lo and behold i am now in my second week of taking the Rex as prescribed, titrating up the dosage and have experienced none of the side effects that occurred five years ago.

Five years ago, although I was heading toward WFPB I was still mostly eating a modified SAD diet ( No red meat.low fat, but still eating dairy)
It is now about a year that I have followed WFPB

Is there any research, information on the effect of plant baed eating changes the body so the response to chemicals (medications) changes?

I am sure my physicians will think i was merely a resistant patient, exaggerating the medication side effects (known side effects, risk of that medication) five years ago.
But my body reacted differently to the RX i am now taking.

Will appreciate knowledgeable replies
