HTN on-set

Postby andietravels72 » Tue Feb 21, 2023 9:40 pm

Hi.
I'm 50 and have been vegetarian for 25 years and mostly plant-based for the last 15. I indulge in a little dairy about once a week and perhaps some oils a few times a week and very little processed sugar, if at all.
As of the last 4-6 months, my BP has been creeping up (taking it 2x/day) and is now averaging 135/85.
I run 60-70 miles a week, have a 20 BMI, get good sleep, keep stress at bay, have had a full exam and there is nothing to explain it.
Just wondering if someone has an idea of anything I can do.
Both parents have HTN (not plant-based) and all of us are type A people. No family Hx of heart disease.
My personal hx is I underwent SRS two years ago MTF and take 2mg estradiol still, down from 6mg.
Thank you,
Andie
