CFS / ME and POTS

Postby leora » Tue Jul 18, 2023 4:31 am

Hello there! :D

I have recovered from several health issues through various other high-starch dietary approaches, but my chronic illness of 17 years—Chronic Fatigue Syndrome with Post Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome—has remained. Currently, I am no longer bed-bound, and am able to engage in exercise! But I still experience CFS/POTS crashes from time to time.

Treating thiamine (vitamin B1) and zinc deficiency has made a real difference for me, as has pacing, and eliminating vitamin A from my diet (I developed chronic hypervitaminosis A due to following the appalling recommendations of the Weston A. Price Foundation). I still do not tolerate plant foods high in beta carotene.

Eliminating added oils from my diet is something I have never tried...until a month ago! The past four weeks I have been adjusting to learning to cook a new way, and so far am feeling well and enjoying the foods.

Does anyone here have experience with CFS? Thank you in advance. :)
