Up 1.4

It's been a discouraging week for me - the weight has fluctuated greatly from 2 lbs down to this final weigh in amount of up 1.4. I was really excited to be cooking with my Christmas goody, a new Instant Pot, and I cooked up a storm of soups. Unfortunately, I find I am really food intolerant of onions (how sad is that    ) at the recipe's level and probably a few other ingredients I used. The result was that I got pretty sick. While I was sick down went the weight and the last two days it's gone up.

At the beginning of the week I was up from some oily foods - so I think that's what did me in - the weight loss after that was just from being sick and now it's leveled out. So, that's kind of to be expected - but having to toss over 8 quarts of soup - now that really is discouraging :(

Michelle, I am so sorry you had to toss all that soup!! :crybaby: I'm also sorry you have been through so much frustration with weight fluctuations. That must make it hard to figure out what's really going on. I admire that you stick to it despite the challenges!

Goal-156
January 2nd, 2015-166
January 9th, 2015-165.4
Not much of a loss but I'm kicking a few bad habits this week. No cola!!!!!!!!!!!! No potato chips!!!!!!!!!!!! Still have a way to go on the red wine. I found that it helps to keep a bowl of boiled little potatoes on the countertop in the kitchen. They are not even the size of a golf ball, but with lots of salt, it helps with the potato chip withdrawal. I added leafy greens this week. I'd been a bit lax about the green stuff. Cooked kale with Louisiana hot sauce and a baked sweet potato, it's what's for dinner down South. After being sick all of Christmas with a nasty cold, I'm back to yoga everyday. So not much to show with weight loss but I'm encouraged with other changes.

Hope you folks don't mind if I join in. As weight watchers disintegrates, I think I'm going to try it on my own again. I'll try to weigh in on Fridays. I'm down 0.8 this week

1/2/2015 224.3
1/9/2015 223.5 (-0.8)

Congrats to all us losers this week & good luck with the next.

I lost 0.4 lbs this week. Guess slow and steady might win the race.

Down 3.4 this week (4 total). Feeling good my 1st week. I found that I'm not really getting hungry between meals--and when I do it's bearable hunger I can ride out until I get to the next meal (not that desperate hunger/hole I needed to fill prior to starting this WOE).

Turns out all that prep cooking & freezing I did over the holidays helped me with not having to think about what to grab. Go figure. Getting a little tired of BBQ split pea burgers, potato & tofu curry, and lentil soup, but I have almost another week's worth. I suspect I'll survive. ;)

Good morning everyone!

Down 1 pound this week.

I was hoping it would be more, but alas, I can't have weeks like last week all the time. I started at the gym this week and I think I over did it. My legs are screaming at me. So this coming week I need to slow it down a bit. I hope everybody has a great week. :D

Up 0.4

I started off well and had several "good" days but also several days where I indulged in candied nuts at the office, binged on fruit, and otherwise just flat ate too much. And no vigorous exercise. So no surprise! Disappointing though, didn't want to let the group down.

Up .03. From the sound of it, my week was similar to mtarr's, with similar results.

Sorry that I am later than I meant to be posting this change... I will be doing it on Saturday mornings regularly... and it's been a hectic morning since weighing in at the gym and getting here. I tried over and over to get this updated on my tablet, but I could not get it to change there.

Finally now I can report a 1.4 lb loss in 5 days... broke into the 130's though I am the sort who will not believe it's more than water weight until I reach the lowest 30. But I am encouraged. And feel better . . . and have to keep an eye on my husband who without meaning to.. slips avocado in to things.. I had a few pieces on my salad last night but slipped most of it onto his. :P No fat is a significant challenge!

Can anyone here help me with adding a signature to my posts??? I want to add my ticker as a signature. I have checked "attach a signature" below but cannot figure out HOW to attach one.
